Password Policy Change - 01/05/2026

Starting January 5, 2026, the Town of Plainfield will introduce new minimum password standards to improve security while offering more flexibility. Users will be able to choose between two options: a 12-character minimum password that updates every 90 days, or a 20-character minimum password that changes annually.

For full details and to learn how to choose which Password Policy you would like implemented on your account, please visit the Town Intranet.

      Password Reset

If you know your password, please see the Password Reset (townofplainfield.com) KB article.

If you do not know your password and require a reset or an account unlocked for an IT-supported service between the hours of M-F, 8 AM – 10 PM or weekends, 8 AM – 7 PM, please dial (317) 754 5507 or x209.

IT-supported services with password resets are:
      • E-mail
      • Computer
      • Kronos (account unlock only, will reset password as part of the process)
      • Munis (HCCC Only)

If you do not see your service listed, either there is a self-help password reset option, or the Town of Plainfield does not handle password resets for it. If you call outside of those hours, you may be asked to wait until regular password reset hours or submit a ticket, and someone will get with you when they are available.
